Secretary Planning, Mathar Niaz Rana chaired a meeting to review Inspection & Monitoring of the Development Projects and Allied Matters here in Islamabad on Saturday. Member Inspection & Monitoring Planning Commission, Member Support Services, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, and senior officials from Planning Ministry participated in the meeting.
Member I & M, Gen (Retd) Zahir Shah briefed the Secretary Planning about Inspection & Monitoring of Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) Projects. He said that I & M wing is successfully preparing the national plan for inspection and monitoring of development projects and its implementation.
Secretary Planning desired to create a user friendly dashboard of all ongoing PSDP projects, showing the allocation, expenditure and physical progress of the projects. He said that the updated statues of the projects have to be available on dashboard which would also help achieve and address the shortcomings besides facilitating for timely decisions. He emphasized need to simplify procedure for Principle Accounting Officers and Projects Directors.
