Mr. Nisar Ahmed is working as Deputy Chief (Incharge)/Head of the Social Welfare Section, M/o Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan Since July, 2014. During the period as a additional responsibilities he has served as Project Director (Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at M/o PD&SI). The Centre for Social Entrepreneurship then has been transferred to the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division. Prior to that, he was working in the Social Welfare Section as Assistant Chief from September, 2005 to July, 2014. He holds Master degree in Sociology having 18 years of experience in public sector. He has expertise in area of Social Entrepreneurship, Women Entrepreneurship; Gender/Women related Policy, Planning, Special Education, Human Rights, Older people, Transgender, Rural Women, Non-Government Organisation, Philantrhopy, Social Protection & Social Safety Net ,Poverty Alleviation ,Child rights and Development, National Policies and international Conventions etc.
