Mr. Javed Sikander has more than 27 years of diversified experience in public sector in his credit. He is performing the duties of Chief/ Head of Governance Section since 2012. He joined the Ministry Planning in July, 2005. During his stay, he implemented three projects of the Ministry being the Project Director. He performed additional duties of Deputy Secretary and Joint Secretary of Ministry about two and half years. He attended and represented the Ministry in number of meetings, conferences and workshops aboard as well as at local level. He is the focal person on reforms in the Ministry. His main expertise’s are in the area of research, data analysis, report writing, policy making, administrative and financial management, project preparation/monitoring/evaluation/ management & execution, performance management system, and institutional & governance reforms etc. Prior to joining the Ministry, he served at National Institute of Population Studies as researcher where he contributed in many surveys and wrote number of research proposals, reports, and publications. He served at Inter Services Selection Board, Kohat as Statistical Officer. He also served with devolved Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Oversee Pakistani as Incharge of DWE Centres at D.G Khan, Multan, and Faisalabad. He did his masters in Economics and Political Science from University of Punjab.
